Obituary

Roberta Jeanne Toothman Schroeder Rawson, 95, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, Ohio.

She was born in Jacobsburg, on January 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Roberta G. McMaster Toothman and Willis L. “Doc” Toothman.

Jeanne was a devout member of the Church of God in Wheeling, West Virginia. A lifelong resident of Jacobsburg, she was devoted to her family and raised four children, twelve grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon “Lefty” Schroeder; second husband, Jerry Rawson; a sister, Mary Dorothy (Bill) Warren; a brother, Bill (Virginia) Toothman; a grandson, Cody Schroeder; a “son-in-law”, Jesse Townsend; and nephew, Wilson L. Toothman.

Jeanne is survived by her four children, Wayne (Debbie) Schroeder, Tom (Pam) Schroeder, Jennifer Harris and Ted Schroeder; 12 grandchildren, Tracey (Bryan) May, Brandy (Jeremy) Kemp, Jesse (Megan) Schroeder, Kelly (David) Kinkus, Misty Dawn Schroeder, Angie (Dave) Cather, Shane Schroeder, Jessica Harris, Zane Harris, Beth, Lora and Kayla Schroeder; 26 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Zachary Smith officiating. The burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.

Memorial donations may be made to the Smith Township Volunteer Fire Dept.
