Phyllis Jean Roberts, 80, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born October 22, 1945, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Irvin Wesley Carroll and Ruth White Carroll.

Phyllis was a retired office administrator for The Health Plan. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville, where she was involved in various capacities within the church. She enjoyed quilting and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Stephan Carroll; sister-in-law, Jodi Carroll; and a son-in-law, Doug Murphy.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, George Griffith Roberts Jr., two children, George Griffith (Kim) Roberts III and Paula Ann Murphy; six grandchildren, Mike Tully, Meghan (Zack) Dandy, Maggie and Molly Murphy, George Aaron (Jacqueline) Roberts and Hannah Marie (Shane) Haggerty; eight great grandchildren, Teegan Dandy, Everly Weekley, Harper and Zane Haggerty, Shepherd Roberts, Kolton, Ethan and Abel Thomas; brother, Don Carroll; brother in law, Dan (Linda) Roberts; nephews Matthew Carroll, Dan and Chris Roberts; and several great nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, no visitation or funeral services are planned. The family is planning a celebration of life which will be announced at a later date.
