Obituary

Phillip A. Krock, 86, of St. Clairsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Park Health Center. He was born November 1,1934 on German Ridge, Monroe County, Ohio to the late Anton "Andrew" and Edith Lehman Krock. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Krock and a sister, Nancy Huth.

He graduated from Powhatan High School and Ohio University, Athens with a B.S in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Reserves (983rd Engineer Battalion, Bellaire, OH) and was called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He worked at Ormet Hannibal Rolling Mill Division for 41½ years, retiring in 1999 as a Senior Project/Design Engineer. Phil was also a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville, OH.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Bonnie L. Carpenter Krock, who was the love of his life and five children: a daughter, Kimberly (John) Evick, St. Clairsville, OH, and four sons; Mark (Joyce) Krock of Terre Haute, IN, Philip (Renee) Krock, Key Ridge, OH, Matthew (Denise) Krock of Parma, OH and Michael (Kelly) Krock, St. Clairsville; twelve grandchildren and two step-grandchildren: Jessica (Dr.Charles) Bishop, Zachary (Paige) Evick, Benjamin Evick, Andrew (Brooke) Krock, Sara Krock, Morgan (Brandon) Heath, Branden Krock, Kaitlyn (Michael) Cilles, Alexander Krock, Victoria Krock, Kendall Krock, Reagan Krock, Cayla Crawford and Jack Crawford; eight great grandchildren and one great step-grandchild. An additional great grandchild is due in November.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Park Health Center for their love, care and support over the past fifteen months. Their compassion will always be remembered and cherished. The family would also like to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care the past few weeks.

A private family service celebrating Phillip's life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
