Harlan, Phillip F. "Hunk", 75 of Pipe Creek Rd., Jacobsburg, Ohio died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Liza's Place in Wheeling.
He was born April 17, 1936 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Earnest Harlan and Ina Pearl Gallaher Harlan.
He was a former employee of North American Coal Company's No. 3 Mine and a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Walter and Pete "Hunk" Harlan; a stepson, Billy Jo Davis.
Surviving are his wife, Opal "Joyce" Bommer Harlan; a stepson, Victor Eugene (Virginia) Davis of Dillonvale; sisters, Dona Borsch and Alice Hart of Shadyside; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Saturday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Ray Benesh officiating.
Burial follows in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire.
