Philip C. Jeffers Jr., 65, of Bellaire, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.
He was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on June 11, 1950, son of the late Philip C. Jeffers Sr. and Esther Mae Coen Jeffers.
Philip was a retired coal miner and dog trainer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Philip C. "Kip" Jeffers III; two brothers, Glenn Jeffers and Gus M. Jeffers Sr.
Surviving are his son, Michael Jeffers of Bellaire; two brothers, Harry Jeffers of Bellaire and Everett Jeffers of Glencoe; two sisters, Maud Amy (Gary) Bishop of Arkansas and Sandy Rumskey of Glencoe; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Private burial will be held in Warnock Cemetery.
