Pete Roman, 97, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Pleasant City, Ohio on June 10, 1919 son of the late Mike and Anna Jurancik Roman.
Pete was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel's Martins Ferry Plant. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post in Bellaire.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his first wife, Delcie Huff Roman and his second wife, Arvanna Johnson Roman; a daughter, Theresa Robertson; a grandson, Tim Tharp; a sister and brothers.
Surviving are his two daughters, Joanne Newkirk of Shadyside and Pearl Yoder of Bellaire; a son-in-law, Bruce Robertson of Shadyside; six grandchildren, Kim Marling, Toni Walker, Micki Rushman, Melissa Woods, Jim Tharp and Bob Tharp; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
At Pete's request, there will be no public visitation or service. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
