Penny Sue Smith, 55 of Fairpoint, Ohio died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on March 27, 1961 a daughter of Annie Mae (Decker) Smith and the late Charles W. Smith.

Penny was a member of the Fairpoint Polish Club and the Moose Lodge of St. Clairsville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles William Smith and her grandparents, Guy and Mildred (Kleyman) Decker; Charles and Bertha (Brannan) Smith.

In addition to her mother Annie Smith of Stewartsville she is survived by her life partner of 32 years, Thomas E. Scott; special nephew, Adam (Beth) Scott and grandson, Eric Scott-Wilson of Barnesville; her sisters, Charlene (James) LaRoche of Bellaire, Jackie (John) Burkett of Bellaire, Lora (Alan David) Rutter of Moundsville, Arlene Kuca of Shadyside and her brother, Guy (Melissa) Smith of Barton; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Penny was an avid animal lover. She loved spending time with her grandson, Eric and taking care of her back yard animals.

At Penny's request there will be no visitation and memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, Moundsville, WV.
