Pauline Jean Pickens, 75, of Flushing, Ohio, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.

She was born November 20, 1939 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Arlow Heskett and Velma Glover Heskett.

Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Flushing Alliance Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Higgenbotham; four sisters, Amy Lee Katona, Faye Shores, Shirley Sanders and Loretta Frakowski; and three brothers, Arlow, Melvin and Dale Heskett.

Surviving are her husband, Carl "Tom" Pickens; five children, Sandra (David) Jackson of Oklahoma, John Higgenbotham of Oklahoma, Connie Vorhies of Bannock, Carla (Michael) Gipson of Cambridge and Kimberly (Rich) Spano of Bannock; two step children, Linda Diehm and Steven Pickens both of New Jersey; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Peg Altizer of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a special nephew whom she raised, Kevin (Kim) Frakowski of Maynard; along with many other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Flushing Alliance Church on Monday from 12 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dean Lancaster officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville. Burial will follow in Chestnut Level Cemetery.
