Paul A. Tongret, Sr., age 55, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV. He was born May 14, 1947 at Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late Roland and Helen Smith Tongret.

He was an employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation?s Yorkville Plant; and he was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Roger Tongret; and a sister, Ruth Ann Tongret.

Surviving are his wife, Gabriele Lane Tongret; two sons, Paul Allen Tongret, Jr. of Akron, Ohio and David Tongret and his wife Michele of St. Clairsville; a daughter, Amanda Tongret of Wheeling, WV; three grandchildren, Alexis, Logan and Ariel Tongret; a brother, David R. Tongret of Massillon, OH; and a sister, Martha Mills of Shadyside, Ohio.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
