Paul L. Pyle, Sr., 96 of Belmont, Ohio died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.

He was born October 30, 1912 in Bridgeport, Ohio, a son of the late Walter Pyle and Lucille Neiswanger Pyle Willison.

Paul was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.?s Martins Ferry Plant, and a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Martins Ferry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Marge" Wright Pyle; daughter Barbara Pyle; son, Paul L. Pyle, Jr. and his wife Nancy Jeffers Pyle; brothers, George E. Pyle, and Clarence Willison; sister, Mildred Gautschi; two grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Sally Lee (Robert) Myers of Woodsfield and Beverly Lou (Ronald) Jeffers of Belmont; sisters, Dorothy Smith and Virginia Givens of Bridgeport; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dean Myers officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
