Paul Andrew Kyanko, 83, of Barton, Ohio, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on February 13th, 2026.

He was born on February 11, 1943, in Barton, Ohio, son of the late Joseph Kyanko and Mary Kleevic Kyanko.

Paul was no stranger to hard work. He was retired after many years with North American Coal Co. #6 mine, Melody Manor, Barton Septic, and Colerain Township. In his free time, Paul loved fishing, woodworking, and gardening. Most of all, Paul was defined by faith and family. He was a longtime member St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wolfhurst.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and David Kyanko; a sister, Helen Yudasz; a son, Jeffrey Fortuna; and his beloved dog, Angel.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Linda M. Green Kyanko; children, Larry Fortuna, Butch (Jo Ann) Fortuna, Stanley (Pam) Fortuna, and Debra Fortuna; his grandchildren, Jason Chipps, Matthew (Adrean) Fortuna, and Andrew (Lindsay) Fortuna; 9 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Joyce (Larry) Apicella, Mary Jo LaRoche, and Ricky (Beth) Yudasz.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m., with a vigil service starting at 2 p.m., at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father John Mucha officiating.
