Paul Vernon Kartman, Sr., 78, of Bellaire, OH passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Wheeling Hospital.  He was born October 11, 1945 in Martins Ferry, OH., a son of the late Louis and Florence Witmer Kartman.

Paul was retired from I.B.E.W. # 141 of Wheeling, WV., a Christian by faith and proudly served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of the Neffs American Legion Post 77 and the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Seibega; a brother, Amos Karkowski; a great grandchild, Dylan Johnston; his ex-wife, Patricia Silver Kartman in 2014.

Surviving are his children, Paul V. Kartman, Jr. of Bellaire, Richard Kartman of Jacobsburg, OH and Christina Kartman of Martins Ferry, OH; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 3-6 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg with funeral services on Thursday at 11 am with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating.  Final arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.  Full Military Honors will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
