HALE, Paul A., 81, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died October 26, 2011 at Liza's Place in Wheeling.
He was born January 9, 1930 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, son of the late George and Leatha Rouse Hale.
Paul was a retired employee from Ormet Corporation. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookside; a member of the St. Clairsville and Bridgeport Eagles Aeries and served on the Martins Ferry Fire Department's Liberty Station for 50 years. He had a love for golf, hunting and playing the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Hale; a sister, Delores Stan; and a grandson, Jordan Billingsley.
Surviving are his three daughters, Cindi Blodgett of Blaine, Ohio, Penny (Jody) Thoburn of Bridgeport, Ohio and Becky Billingsley of Mooresville, North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Tara Hale of Bridgeport, Ohio; two brothers, Richard Hale of Martins Ferry and George Hale of Farmington; a sister, Anna Marie Saunders of Elm Grove; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Karen Torrez officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial gardens.
