Obituary

Gallagher, Paul, age 92, of Bannock, Ohio died Monday, May 5, 2008 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center in St. Clairsville.

He was born on November 26, 1915 at Temperanceville, Ohio, son of the late Charles and Carrie Jeffers Gallagher.

Paul was a Loving Father and Grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman and enjoyed bowling. Paul was retired from Consolidation Coal Company. He was a member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Flushing; a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Belmont-Jefferson Beagle Club.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Homer Gallagher; five sisters, Helen Gallagher, Viola White, Magdalen Scanlon, Clara Briney and Florence McCort.

Surviving are his wife, Crystal May Flood Gallagher; a son, Paul J. (Amelia) Gallagher of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two daughters, Helen E. Niemiec of Bethesda and Constance A. (Kenneth) Reed of St. Clairsville; special friends, Henry and Grace Niemiec of St. Clairsville; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with a vigil service at 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, Flushing, with Father Frederick Kihm the celebrant. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
