Paul C. Balcar, 72, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Friday, August 24, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1946 in Martins Ferry, Ohio son of the late Frank Andrew and Lenor Walter Balcar.

Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was owner of BBR Drilling Company, a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and a U.S. Army veteran having served from 1966-1968.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce A. Balcar.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Linda Montelone Balcar; three children, Jason Balcar of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Jennifer Balcar and Jill Buecker both of New Albany, Ohio; a grandson, Jacob Balcar; two sisters, Barbara Balcar and Karen (Jack) McGraw; a brother, Mark Balcar.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Terry Lucarelli officiating.  Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Full Military Honors.
