Patrick Shane Wildern, 35, of Wheeling, died June 9, 2017 in Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Wheeling on July 24, 1981, son of Renee French Huntington, and the late Fred E. Wildern Jr. Shane worked construction and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Patricia French. Surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather, Renee and Victor Huntington, are his longtime love, Sarah Smith; his three children, Jadah, Chase and Weston; his siblings, Fred III, Melissa, Stephanie, Shawn, Kevin, Amanda, Little Patrick and Austin; aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. with Rev. Michael Palmer officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
