Robert Patrick McDonnell, 55 of Maynard died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born November 22, 1950 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. A son of the late Charles M. McDonnell and Josephine Nepa McDonnell.

He was a coal miner for Consolidation Coal Company?s Shoemaker and Franklin Mines. A member of Maynard Methodist Church, Maynard Sportsman?s Club, PNA Lodge in Maynard and the UMWA Local.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Matusik McDonnell; brothers, Guy and Charles McDonnell.

Surviving are step children, Darla Colvin Krupzak of Canton, Andrew Lee Krupzak of Martins Ferry, and Ronda Carter of Bellaire; daughter Christie Ann of California; brothers, Frederick McDonnell of Deland, Florida, Chester McDonnell of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Sharon Stewart of Bellaire, and Martha Fox of Bethesda; 6 step-grandchildren; special friends, Helen I. Garrison, and Ronnie Holstein

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St.Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. James D. Hildebrand officiating. Burial follows in Park View Memorial Gardens, Elm Grove.
