French, Patrick Ross, 81 of Bethesda, Ohio died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at OVMC in Wheeling.
He was born June 15, 1931 in Deep Run, Ohio, a son of the late Benjamin Norway Glenn French and Jessie Mae Ogemie Frye French.
He was a retired Ironworker from Local # 549, a member of East Richland Friends Church, a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, a life member of VFW Post # 5356 in St. Clairsville, and a member of Smithfield Lodge # 182 F. & A.M.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia J. Kimble French; infant son, Charles Martin French; a brother, William R. French.
Surviving are his five children, Patrick J. (Lesa) French of Bethesda, Denise (Don) Ludwig of Pittsburgh, William A. French of Bethesda, Renee (Vic) Huntington of Zanesville, and Douglas (Beverly) French of Barnesville; a brother, Glenn French of Yorkville; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating.
Burial follows in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
Smithfield Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 7:45 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
Belmont County Council of VFW's will provide full military honors at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
