Patricia "Patti" Lou Thompson Whitehouse, 87, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Liza's Place of Valley Hospice in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born September 14, 1937, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Naomi Hawkins Thompson and James Robert Thompson.
Patti grew up in Flushing, Ohio and loved reminiscing about the old times there and was a 1955 graduate of Flushing High School. She was a former employee of Hazel Atlas Glass Company and State Cleaners. She enjoyed time sitting on her back porch watching the birds and spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinner.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Robert "Bob" J. Thompson.
Patti is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, October 4th, would have been 67 years, Phil Whitehouse of St. Clairsville, Ohio; children, SueAnn Lewton, of Valley Grove, West Virginia, Amy (Billy Welker) Whitehouse, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Jon (Amy Beazley) Whitehouse, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; grandson, Jack Lewton; and "adopted" grandson, Taeshawn Creighton; brother in law, Thomas (Celia) Whitehouse, Jr., of Boiling Springs, South Carolina; many nieces and nephews, and special cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Valley Hospice and Liza's Place for the love and special care provided to Patti over the last year.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, from 5-8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, where funeral services will held on Saturday at 11 a.m. The burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice or the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
