McKimmie, Pastor Jack G., 79 of Flushing, Ohio died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at his home.

He was born at Hastings, WV on October 2, 1930 a son of the late James P. and Ann Tennant McKimmie.

Jack was a supervisor for Weirton Steel retiring after 32 years of service after which he served as Pastor of the Flushing Alliance Church for 17 years. He was a charter member of the Flushing Ruritan Club, a member of the Ministerial Association, a coordinator of Project Manna and served with his wife, Vivian as head of the Primetime Ministry at Flushing Alliance Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney McKimmie; 2 grandsons; 1 brother and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vivian Wright McKimmie; daughter, Rhonda (Ken) Dawson of Follansbee, WV; sons, Pat (Janice) McKimmie of San Jose, CA, Jeff (Elaine) McKimmie of Kinston, NC and Scott McKimmie of Canal Winchester, OH; sisters, Margaret Knotts of Seaford, DE and Gloria Meredith of Port St. Lucy, FL; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandsons.

Friends will be received at the Flushing Alliance Church at Flushing, OH on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV.
