Obituary
PERKINS, Oscar R., 85, of Alledonia, Ohio, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at Emerald Pointe Nursing Home in Barnesville, Ohio.
He was born in Alledonia, Ohio on March 10, 1926, son of the late Webster and Lena Perkins.
Oscar was retired from North American Coal Company #1 Mine and the Ormet Corporation. He was a member of Armstrongs Mills United Methodist Church and the Knights of the Pythias at Beallsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi "Mona" Ginter Perkins; and three brothers, Richard, Glen and Floyd Perkins.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Baker of Alledonia; two grandchildren, Dawnell (Trevor) Moore of Alledonia and Troy (Gina) Baker of Beallsville; seven great grandchildren, Cody Moore, Caitlyn Moore, Shane Moore, Wyatt Moore, Justine Baker, Mattie (Tyler) Kinzy and Owen Baker.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, where services will be held Thursday at Noon with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Armstrongs Mills Methodist Church.
