Obituary

Orval Ray Dilly, 90, of Bellaire, Ohio, died June 20, 2024, in Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born March 8, 1934, in Centerville, Ohio, a son of the late Della May Walters Dilly and Elbridge Clifford Dilly.

Orval was a retired employee of First Energy's Power Plant and later worked at Cabela's in Triadelphia. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Shadyside, the Marshall County Hunting and Fishing Club and the NRA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Virginia Homan Dilly (2011), wife, Beverly D. Dilly (2000); and wife, Judith Ann Dilly (2019); brother, Cyrill Dilly and sisters, Marjorie Street, Audrey Mellott, and Shirley Gump.

Orval is survived by his children, Brenda Joy Gayvont, Gary Ray (Lisa) Dilly, and Michael Wayne Dilly; stepchildren, Deanna Dupler, Dianna (Dale) Carpenter, and Kristin Bom, Sherry Harris Rayle, and Steven Harris; a brother, Sonny (Suzie) Dilly; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Joel Traylor officiating. The burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
