RAMSAY, Olive Harriet Murphy, 96, of Woodsfield Nursing Home, formerly of Jacobsburg, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on December 16, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Oliver and Adda Berry Murphy, her husband, Ellis Earl Ramsay of 69 years and two sisters, Mabel Culbertson and Elizabeth Murphy.

Olive was a member and treasurer of Jacobsburg United Methodist Church, WSCS Womens Society, Weyer Chapter #515 Order of Eastern Star, Belmont County Extension Homemakers and a Belmont County Poll Worker.

She is survived by three children: Eleanor (David) Smith of Glen Dale, WV, Fred (Cathy) Ramsay of Jacobsburg, Ohio and Norma Jean Fulton of St. Clairsville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Lisa Ann Smith Phares, John Fulton, Brenda Ramsay Ogden, Anna Marie Smith and Timothy Ramsay; and four great grandchildren, Amber and Zackery Phares and Breanna and Brandon Cain.

Olive loved to travel and had seen most of the United States and the world. She liked to tell about the people she met and their customs.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will be held again on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating and interment to follow at Powhatan Cemetery.
