Obituary
Dixon, Olive Marie, 93 of Shadyside, Ohio died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Shadyside Care Center.
She was born at Echo, Ohio on September 3, 1915 a daughter of the late Chalmer and Edna Gatten Hendershot.
Olive was a retired LPN from Bellaire City Hospital and a member of the Jacobsburg Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dixon; a son, Clarence Dixon, Jr.; sisters Mabel and Leona Hendershot and a brother John Hendershot.
She is survived by daughters Dorothy (Bill) Hines of Jacobsburg and Betty (Bob) Shreve of Shadyside; sons Leonard (Greta) Dixon of Bellaire, Robert (Dorothy) Dixon of Shadyside and David (Cathy) Dixon of Belington, WV; stepdaughters Virginia Johnson of Shadyside and Margaret Kennedy of Bellaire; sisters Dorothy Koonce of Shadyside and Mary Bass of St. Clairsville; a brother Charles Hendershot of Stewartsville; 33 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
At Olive?s request there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Key Ridge at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shadyside Care Center Activity Fund, 60583 State Route 7, Shadyside, Ohio 43947.
