Nicholas Basalla, 88, of St. Clairsville, died Sept. 6, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Mary Mizarek Basalla; a son, Gary Basalla and his siblings.

Nicholas was an Iron Worker and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his loving wife, Joan Basalla; a son, David Basalla; a daughter, Cyndi (David) Spong; two grandsons, Adam (Melissa) Spong and Garrett (Rossi) Spong; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Domenic; and favorite companion his cat, Tootsie.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Warnock Cemetery with Full Military Honors.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
