Obituary

Nelma Jean Palmer Minor, age 74, of Jacobsburg, died Friday, May 2, 2003 at Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire. She was born May 11, 1928 at Armstrongs Mills, Ohio, daughter of the late Hugh Allen and Verda Ramsey Corbett McKenen and Meattus Corbett

She was a member of the Jacobsburg United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Archie Ray Palmer; her second husband, Joseph Minor; and an infant daughter, Bessie May Minor.

Surviving are four daughters, Rose Ellen Ewing and her husband Bob and Verda June May all of Barnesville, Doris Ann Weiss and her husband David of San Antonio, Texas and Dessie Fay Baker and her husband Terry of Powhatan Point; three sons, Dale Palmer and his wife Debbie of Clarington, Larry Lee Palmer and his wife Debbie of St. Clairsville and Archie Ray Palmer of Barnesville; two sisters, Zelda May Selmon of New Martinsville, WV and Lena Rose of Chicago, IL; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., where the services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Jacobsburg Cemetery, Jacobsburg, Ohio.
