Obituary
Nellie Louise Garczyk, 93, of Maynard, Ohio died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her home.
She was born May 27, 1923 in Crabapple, Ohio, a daughter of the late John Styrcula and Blanche Bochniak Styrcula.
Nellie was a homemaker and farmer, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and the Maynard PNA.
She enjoyed cooking, family meals, and flowers, especially African Violets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Garczyk; a son, Gene Garczyk; a sister, Mary Styrcula.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Kovachic of Maynard; two sisters, Rose Vigoffi of Fairpoint, and Helen Funari of Columbus; four grandchildren, Daniel and Eric Kovachic, Jason and Sarah Garczyk.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville at 10 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog the celebrant.
Entombment follows at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
A vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Maynard Community Volunteer Fire Dept., 50266 Fairpoint-Maynard Rd., St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
