Nellie Grace Collins Richards, age 86, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of St. Clairsville, died Sunday, August 3, 2003 in NHC Nursing Home, Murfreesboro, TN. She was born on July 17, 1917 at Beallsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Levi A. and Lenora Smith Mellott.

She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville and a member of the Bridgeport Chapter # 452, Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James G. Collins; and her second husband, Former St. Clairsville City Councilman, William R. Richards; a sister, Frances Rice and a brother, George Mellott.

Nellie is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Tom Fleeman, Nancy J. Collins of Nashville, TN and Barbara Richards Gorza of St. Clairsville; a son, Russell L. Richards of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; a sister, Elizabeth G. Greenhalgh of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2003 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Clarington Cemetery, Clarington, Ohio.
