Neil Landon McFarland, 83, of Wheeling, West Virginia, died June 15, 2020 in Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio.

He was born September 11, 1936 in Macksburg, Ohio, son of the late Delmer and Edith Darrah McFarland.

Neil was an associate pastor at Harbor of Hope Assembly of God and member of New Life Assembly of God in Wheeling. He had a love for children which showed in his life's work as an active leader with Teen Challenge in Wheeling and Cleveland for many years and was a former director of the Children's Home in Cambridge, Ohio.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a barber. Neil also enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Anne Alexovich McFarland; two children, Tammy Morrison (Randall) Curry and Scott (Terri) McFarland; three grandchildren, Brandon (Cheryl) Morrison and Todd (Courtney) Morrison and Heath McFarland; five great grandchildren, Luke and Kinsley Morrison, and Mikayla, Nicholas, and Owen Morrison; and a brother, Noel Leon (Rebecca) McFarland.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are being recommended during a visitation on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Harbor of Hope Assembly of God in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Dean Myers and Pastor Brandon White officiating.  Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Green Lawn Cemetery, Lowell, Ohio.  Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
