KENT, Neil C., 91, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Park Health Center.
He was born March 21, 1920 in Shadyside, Ohio, son of the late Shirley T. and Eva Garner Kent.
Neil was a retired U.S. Mail carrier and supervisor from the Hyattsville Maryland Post Office. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II under Gen. George S. Patton Jr. in the 3rd Army 302nd Infantry Regiment 94th Division. He was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville where he served as deacon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Fielding and a brother, Roy Wilbur Kent.
Surviving are his loving wife, Ethel V. Rice Kent; a daughter, Susan Jane (David) Foy of Bristow, Virginia; two grandsons, Eric David Foy and his fiance Ashleigh Peterson and Brian Andrew Foy.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held on Wednesday at the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville at 10 a.m., with Everett Hutson officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the church.
Committal Services and Entombment will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Virginia.
