YOUNG, Nancy C., 85, of National Road West, St. Clairsville, Ohio died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Park Health Center.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 5, 1927 a daughter of the late Stanley P. Carter and Mary Loomis Carter.
Nancy was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville. She was a former volunteer at Ogilbee Institute; a member of the Wheeling Civic Garden Club; a member of the local Questers Chapters; and former Ohio State President of the Questers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl S. Young; and a son, Charles "Chip" Young.
She is survived by her son Richard Young and his wife Margie of St. Clairsville; two grandsons, David (Karen) Young and Kevin (Becca) Young; three great granddaughters; a great grandson; a sister, Jean (Bill) Appel of Vicksburg, Michigan; a cousin, Mardie; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Homer Harden officiating. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Trail Questers P. & R. Fund or Belmont County Museum in Barnesville or the Boy Scout Program at First Presbyterian Church.
