Reed, Nancy Bernice, 71 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.

She was born October 29, 1942 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Joseph Seth Hamilton and Helga Moilanen Hamilton.

Nancy was a former seamstress, waitress, and child caregiver. She was a member of Church Alive on Key Ridge, Bellaire and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Reed; a brother, Joseph Hamilton.

Surviving are her children, James Arthur Christy of the home, Nannette Jean Christy (Greg) Podubynsky of St. Clairsville, George F (Nancy A.) Reed of St. Clairsville, and the numerous other children that she helped raise as a caregiver; a sister, Mary Ann (Louis) Coe of Florida; sister-in-law, Treva Spehar of St. Clairsville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may to be to a children's charity of the donor's choice.
