Obituary

Nancy J. (Polsinelli) Lewis, 61, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 8, 2022, after a long battle with Leukemia/Lymphoma.
Nancy was born in March, 1961 in Steubenville, OH to the late Domenic A. Polsinelli and Eileen J. (Winters) Polsinelli.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister-in-law Maria (Podolski) Polsinelli and father-in-law, Richard Lewis.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Scott A. Lewis and her stepson, Tyler (Giordan) Lewis and her granddaughter Riley Lewis of New Market, Maryland. Nancy was No. 7 of 12 children. Surviving are her sisters, Mary B (Don) Davis of Bonita Springs, FL., Teresa H. (Edward) Laman of Wintersville, OH., Ann M. Shorac of Steubenville, OH., Claire A. (Barry) Haslett of Longwood, FL., Monica R. (Marty) Mix of Canton, OH., Regina K. (Mark) Taglione of Delaware, OH., Also surviving are her brothers, Francis B. (Terry) Polsinelli of Mingo Jct., OH., Robert A. (Karen) Polsinelli of Richmond, OH., William E. Polsinelli of Mingo Jct., OH., John R. (Shelly) Polsinelli of Wintersville, OH., Paul D. (Peggy) Polsinelli of Lehigh Acres, FL.

Additionally, she is survived by her mother-in-law, Betty Lewis of St. Clairsville and brother-in-law Bruce (Linda) Lewis of Bridgeport, OH; 26 nieces and nephews and their spouses and 25 great nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a 1979 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in Applied Business, Banking and Finance from Jefferson Technical College. She began her career in banking at Mingo National
Bank before marrying Scott and moving to Maryland where she worked in the mortgage industry. Upon their retirement, they returned to Ohio and became residents of St. Clairsville.
Nancy enjoyed gardening, baking, Bible study and volunteering at St. Mary's Church in St. Clairsville. There, she truly found a second home and formed many deep, meaningful friendships. She became a Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan, as well as belonging to the Women's Club, working Bingo, and assisting with the tabulation of financial contributions. She truly loved her Church and parish community.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with a vigil service at 6 pm. Additional visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on Monday from 10 am until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 am with Fr. Thomas Chillog as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in St. Clairsville.
