Obituary

BUMGARNER, Nancy Jean Paxton, 60, of Waynesville, Ohio, died Friday, September 21, 2007, in the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born March 8, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Alice Venom Paxton.

Nancy was a former reference librarian in Marion, Ohio; and secretary for First Presbyterian Church in Marion, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Andy Paxton.

Surviving are her husband, Harry L. Bumgarner; two sons, Adam Bumgarner of Centerville, Ohio and Aaron Bumgarner of Norwalk, Connecticut; a brother, Dr. Bruce (Aline) Paxton of Athens, Ohio; mother-in-law, Ethelene Bumgarner; sister-in-law, Bonnie (James) Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 5 p.m. at the Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering, Ohio with the Rev. Robert Wade officiating. A private interment was held at the Miami Valley Memorial Gardens in Centerville, Ohio.
