Mildred C. Mason, 83 of Lake Worth, FL formerly of So. Marietta Street, St. Clairsville died Sunday, February 22, 2004 in Atlantis, FL.

She was born at Maynard on July 16, 1920 a daughter of the late Forest L. Carpenter and Rosa Gallagher Carpenter.

Mildred was a member of First Presbyterian Church at St. Clairsville, a member and past worthy matron of the former St. Clairsville Chapter #510 Order of Eastern Star and current member of Bridgeport Chapter #452, a member of the Daughters of the Nile at Wheeling and a friend of St. Luke?s United Methodist Church at Lake Worth, FL.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Francis Mason on March 15, 1986; her son James Henry Mason on March 3, 2000 and her sister Norma Swallie in March of 1996.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law, J. Diane Moore Mason of Lake Worth, FL, with whom she resided.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.

Eastern Star services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
