Mike L. McKay, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Friday, October 21, 2016 in Lancaster, Ohio. He was born September 9, 1927 in Glencoe, Ohio, a son of the late Mike Mikasinovich and Minnie Vucelich Mikasinovich. Mike was retired from Windsor Power Coal Company, a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church in Steubenville, and UMWA Local # 9596. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Charles McKay; six brothers, Pete (Mildred), Mele, Eli (Sophia), Nick (Helen), Dewey, and George; a sister, Martha (Paul) Tazar. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Jean Kite McKay; three daughters, Michele (Gregory) Michaels of Lancaster, Ohio, Sandy (George) Paris of Pataskala, Ohio and Kathy (John) Cocuzza of Ada, Michigan; 4 grandchildren, Anthony, Nicole, & Courtney Cocuzza and Christopher Paris; 2 sisters-in-law, Dorothy, and Doraetta. Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday, October 28th from 4-8pm & Saturday, October 29th from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Father Rade Merick officiating. Burial follows in Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio. A Pomen service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
