Obituary
Mike Mriz Jr., age 82, of Midway, Ohio, died Friday, June 2, 2006 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, West Virginia. He was born on July 20, 1923 in Midway, son of the late Mike Mriz Sr. and Mary Santa Mriz.
He was a retired employee of Crown City Mining Co. Mike was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fairpoint and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Dawson Mriz; two sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are his three sons, Sid Schaudies of Mercer Island, Washington, Fritz Schaudies of Parker, Colorado and Daniel Mriz of Midway; two sisters; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Private services held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
