Michael T. "Mike" Bailey, 69, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died August 18, 2017 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Martins Ferry on July 3, 1948, a son of the late Virginia Sykes Bailey.

Mike was retired from Shelly and Sands and from Saginaw Mining. He was a member of the St. Clairsville Eagles Aerie 2541, a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Glencoe, a member of the Fairpoint Polish Club and the Foresters Club in Lansing.

In addition to his mother, Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Vickers; and two brothers, John Bailey Sr. and Larry "Butch" Bailey.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Rose Kaveski Bailey; two sons, Michael Terry (Linda) Bailey Jr. and Scott Matthew (Courtney) Bailey; a grandson, Caiden Bailey; a sister, Tammy (Jeff) Henley; two brothers, Wayne (Pam) Bailey and Bob (Tammy) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

A memorial dinner will be held at the St. Clairsville Eagles following the committal services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. C. Junior Sports.
