Charles A. "Mick" McGuire Sr., 81, of Neffs, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his home.
He was born January 23, 1937 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Charles F. and Virginia Watts McGuire.
Mick was a retired coal miner from North American Coal Powhatan # 5 Mine, he was the owner of Mick's Used Cars in Neffs and former employee of the B. & O. Railroad. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne as a Paratrooper.
In addition to his parents, Mick was preceded in death by two sons, Chuck and Mike McGuire and a grandson, Andy McGuire.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Cindy Carson McGuire; eight children, Donna Scott, Tony Mamone, Kimberly Verardi, Ed Ryan, Beth Stein, Bob Rebecca, Mick McGuire and Cindi McGuire; a half-sister, Charlie June Simmons; 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.
Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery where the Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct Full Military Honors.
