Michael C. Vetanze, 57, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on December 15, 1947 a son of the late Candido and Mary Evelyn Myers Vetanze.
Mike was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel?s Yorkville Plant, was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church at Martins Ferry and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband and father, an avid fisherman and a loyal Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Vetanze.
He is survived by his wife, Mary V. Jebbia Vetanze; daughters Tammy L. Wolfe Selick and her husband John IV of Cleveland, Ohio and Nicole M. Vetanze Swanson and her husband Eric of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; his sister, Carol Lee Vetanze Smith of North Royalton, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and his faithful companion, Lucky.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
