Michael Joseph “Mike” Shutler, 72, of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, died April 26, 2026, in Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 23, 1954, in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late Charles F. Shutler and Kathleen M. Barrett Shutler.

Mike was a retired grocery store manager and meat cutter. He enjoyed farm life and taking care of the animals which he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ramsay Shutler in 2022.

Mike is survived by his foster son, Andy Shutler; his five siblings, Kevin (Debbi) Shutler, Terry (Dawn) Shutler, Mary Beth (Dennis) Boger, Nancy (Shawn) McFarland and Ronald Shutler; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg, West Virginia on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:30 a.m., with Father John Rice as the celebrant. The burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
