Obituary
Schmitt, Michael Gene, 67 of Shadyside, Ohio died Friday, January 31, 2014 at Cumberland Pointe in St. Clairsville.
He was born March 29, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Earl Edwin Schmitt and Agnes Marie Neutzling Schmitt.
He was a former bus driver for East Ohio Regional Transit Authority and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delma Mayhugh Schmitt; a son, Brian Schmitt; a brother, Jerry Schmitt.
Surviving are his children, Shawn Schmitt of California, Laura (Gary) Crozier of Jacobsburg, Marilynn Mosso of Shadyside, and Diann (Art) Nickerson of Wheeling; sisters, Carol Sweeney and Linda Schmitt of St. Clairsville; 8 grandchildren, Bryan Crozier, Ethan Crozier, Michael Schmitt, Morganne Schmitt, Kayla Lentz, Drew Nickerson, Bailey Nickerson, and Alex Nickerson.
A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Toothman Funeral Home.
