Michael Thomas Myers Carr, of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born July 16, 1990, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of Bobbie Gonzalez  Kovas and John Michael Carr.

Michael worked for Laborer's Union Local #1149 and for Pizza Express. He was a 2009 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He loved basketball and fishing, but most of all he loved his daughter, Scarlette.

He was preceded in death by two uncles, Thomas Spregg Myers and Charles William Gonzalez; maternal grandmother, Sandra Sue Gonzalez; paternal grandfather, Ronald Carr; father-in-law, Donald Wamsley; and a brother-in-law, Robert Bright.

Michael is survived by his parents, Bobbie (Brent) Kovas and John Michael Carr; his daughter, Scarlette Dawn Marie Carr; his fiancé of 13 years Sara Wamsley; paternal grandmother, Nancy Lee Myers; sister, Shannon (Dustin) Russell; four brothers, Brent Kovas II, Caleb Kovas, Seth Nelson, and Matthew Kanters; sister-in-law, Kristen Bright; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
