Merle Corrick Jr., 84, of Barton, Ohio died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.
He was born August 19, 1923 in Junior, West Virginia a son of the late Muerle and Maude Price Corrick.
Merle was a retired employee of the former Hanna Coal and Consolidation Coal Company Franklin # 25 mine. He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Forces 416 Night Fighter Squadron and a member of the VFW Post 8848 in Colerain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin infant brothers.
Surviving are his wife Mary M. Supanik Corrick; a son, Merle (Mila) Corrick III of Martins Ferry; two grandchildren, Kyle and Brooke; and a sister, Marjorie Waugh of Farmington, WVa.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Judith Marlow officiating.
Full Military Honor Services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Belmont County Council of VFW?s.
Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
