Burgy, Megan Elizabeth, 8 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Monday, November 12, 2012 at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born January 15, 2004 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of Kelly Lynn Hupp and Mark Allen Burgy.

Megan was a second grade student at St. Clairsville Elementary School. She loved her dogs, Cocoa and Lucky.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John W. Hupp III, and her paternal grandparents, Walter "Pete" and Dolores Burgy.

Surviving in addition to her parents of St. Clairsville, are a brother, Dustin Dierkes; a sister, Tiffany Burgy; maternal grandmother, Arlene Hupp of St. Clairsville; maternal step-grandmother, Linda Hupp of Mozart; uncle, Randy (Rachael) Hupp of Jewett, her uncle and godfather, Walter "Bud" Burgy of Weston, WV; aunt, Lisa (late uncle Donald) Phillips of St. Clairsville; cousin, Josh (Katie) Phillips of Barton; and her godmother, Chablis Hupp.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and then on Friday at Harbor of Hope Assembly of God Church in St. Clairsville on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dean Myers officiating.

Burial follows in Parkview Memorial Gardens in Wheeling.
