Greiner, Maxine Macaratis, 90 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died peacefully Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Belmont Manor Nursing Home.
Maxine was born in Wheeling, West Virginia February 25, 1919 a daughter of the late George and Beulah Wood Macaratis.
Maxine was a lover of animals, especially her Scottie dogs. Maxine was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Bud" Greiner (1999); a sister, Frances Lee Knapp; and a brother, James Wood Macaratis.
Maxine is survived by her children, Terry (Nancy) Greiner of Holt, Michigan, Thomas "Tag" (Karen) Greiner of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Martha Jo "Jodie" (Burch) Upham of Boerne, Texas. Maxine is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Kyle, Lindsey, Scott Greiner of Holt, Michigan, Brandon (Tiffany) Greiner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bradley (Brittany) Greiner of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jamie, Kevin and Kate Upham of Boerne, Texas.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio with Father Thomas Chillog as celebrant. Private burial will be held at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville at the convenience of the family.
