Matthew Richard Eshler, age 22, of Bannock, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 as the result of an auto accident.

He was born on May 5, 1983 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of Candice L. Husvar Helms and Scott Eshler.

Matt was a graduate of Belmont Career Center in 2002.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Husvar; an aunt, Peggy Mayer and an uncle, Bruce Eshler.

Surviving are his mother, Candice L. Helms of Bannock; his father and stepmother, Scott and Vicki Eshler of North Canton, Ohio; a sister, Jill Eshler of Triadelphia, West Virginia; two stepsisters, Angela and Danette; his maternal grandmother, Pauline Husvar of Lansing; paternal grandparents, Rev. Richard and Joan Eshler of Kent, Ohio; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday, June 16, 2005 from 12 Noon until time of services at 5 p.m., with Rev. Kim Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
