Obituary

Huff, R.N., Maryellen, 86, of Flushing, Ohio died January 17, 2012 at Liza's Place in Wheeling.

She was born July 19, 1925, in Flushing, daughter of the late Leroy Bert Huff and Elsie Alice (Bryant) Huff.

She was a retired registered nurse from Mt. Carmel Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Maryellen was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II; a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Flushing; a member of the Catholic Women's Club; Flushing Senior Citizens and volunteer with American Red Cross.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ilene Hartley; a brother, Clarence Huff.

Surviving are nieces, Judy (Ollie) Workley of Freeport, Ohio, Sandra Granite of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Connie (Don) Malenick of Naples, Fla., Nancy Nicolosi of Columbus, Ohio, Mindy (Sandy) Cowen of California; a nephew, Billy Huff of Louisiana; several great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 3:30 p.m.

Visitation will also be held on Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Flushing from 10:15 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m., with Father Frederick Kihm as celebrant. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
