Obituary

Mary Rose Vicker Yudasz, born October 16th, 1930 of the late Joseph and Stella Vicker, passed away in her home early Saturday morning, September 22nd, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Rose was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, aunt and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Joseph L. Yudasz, and sister Joanne Vicker Garczyk.

She is survived by her children, Joseph R. Yudasz, Janet (Kent) Cattran, Paula (Al) Bigelow and James Yudasz; her grandchildren, Karolyn (Lance) Porter, Adam (Nicole Fekete) Yudasz, Nicole Cattran, Derek (Kassandra) Cattran, Brianne (Luke) Burkhardt, Sara (Adam) Myser, Michael (Natalie Perzanowski) Bigelow, Zachary Bigelow, and Adelyna and Joey Yudasz; her great-grandchildren, David and Kiley Porter, Mason Yudasz, Rory and Daxton Myser, and Lincoln and Elliott Rose Burkhardt; her sisters Alice Rodi and Blanche Gunn; sister-in-law, Betty Holubeck and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mary Rose was a graduate and valedictorian of St. Johns Central High School. She worked at the Belmont Country Courthouse in the office of the Clerk of Courts, was operator of the Dairy Isle in Shadyside and was the owner-operator of the Patty Lou Dress Shop in St. Clairsville, retiring in 1986 to care for her grandchildren. She was a Catholic by faith, a member of St. Mary's Church in St. Clairsville and a member of the PNA of Maynard and the American Legion Auxiliary. Mary Rose enjoyed working bingo for St. Stanislaus, cooking Sunday dinners for her children and grandchildren, hosting many holiday gatherings and was known for her chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin pies.

Friends and family will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 4 p.m. followed by PNA and Legion Auxiliary Services.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in St. Clairsville with Father Thomas Chillog the celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.

Donations can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Grade School or Barton Volunteer Fire Department.
