Mary Anna Sykora, 88 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Forest Hill Retirement Center in St. Clairsville.
She was born December 23, 1921 in Bradley, Ohio, a daughter of the late Max Bednarek and Apallonia Klapuchova Bednarek.
She was a Methodist, and member of the Czechoslovakian Society of America and the Czechoslovakian Skyline Radio Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sykora; a son, Arthur L. Sykora; brothers, Max, Victor, Frank, and Ed Bednarek; sisters, Alice Wilczynski, Betty Kaurich, and Stella Ruzek.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Truchan of St. Clairsville; a sister, Olga Brodginski of Salem, Ohio; sister-in-law, Margaret Bednarek of Mingo Junction; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from Noon until time of service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
